Set up your Workspace dashboard
Use this guide when setting up your FocusMDM Dashboard for your workspace/company for the first time.
These steps must be followed before you enroll your devices.
Step-by-step guide
(5 min) workspace Settings
https://focus.dimagi.com/a/settings/workspace
Name
Your company name that is also known as your workspace ID
Data Usage Threshold (in MB per month)
This setting should equate with the monthly data plan assigned to each of your devices. I.e. 2GB/month = 2000 MB Data Usage Threshold
Active Device Threshold (in days)
The frequency with which you expect your users to sync using the internet. I.e. Sync expectation is every 5 days, then Active Device Threshold = 5
Devices that have not synced under this threshold will show as gray on the Device List and be considered "inactive" devices
There are alert for devices that don't sync within 3 days or a week. This setting does not impact these alerts.
GPS plan (select an option)
This setting should be determined by how accurate and frequent you want your GPS tracking data to be. I.e. Track device’s location every 5 minutes = 5 GPS Sampling Interval.
The more accurate and frequent you track a device’s location, the more the battery life can be affected
Select a GPS plan and the GPS Sampling interval and the GPS Accuracy will automatically set to useful numbers.
The GPS Sampling Interval is the time period between which GPS location measurements are take. The value is in minutes. The higher the sampling interval is, the lower the battery consumption
GPS Accuracy is expressed in meters. The higher the value is the lower the accuracy and the battery consumption.
