Why we ask for information

The FocusMDM is a Device Policy Controller for the purpose of providing a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.
FocusMDM gives your organisation visibility on the use of your device and possibly control of this mobile device so it will ask for and collect information about you and your device for your organisation to monitor, secure and effectively manage this mobile device.

What information is collected

FocusMDM collects different kinds of data on behalf of your organization to deliver services including:

Account Data

You will be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact and identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name and cell phone number.

Device Information

FocusMDM automatically collects information from and about the device you are using to allow your organization to manage your device. This includes, but is not limited to your device model, battery life, SIM card ID and IMEI number.
FocusMDM also collects information on the usage of the device. For example data usage, time on device, and your installed apps.

Location Information

FocusMDM may request access or permission to continuously track GPS location-based information from your mobile device to provide to your organization.

What happens to your data and how it is used

FocusMDM will provide the data collected from your device to your organization in order to manage administer your device and account with FocusMDM.
This may include, but is not limited to, storing the device information for as part of asset management, and providing you with services like technical support.

Dimagi may use your data in order to provide the services to your organization, or to improve the services provided. Dimagi may also use your data to create aggregate, anonymized datasets which can’t be associated with you or your account for research purposes.

External organizations working for Dimagi may have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf in compliance with our privacy policy. We may share information with these third parties to provide services but we will never sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

Your Right to Control and Access to your personal information

You have control over your personal information and how it is collected, used, and shared. You have the rights to:

  • Ask us to rectify your personal information.
