Monitoring Treatment Adherence

Monitoring Treatment Adherence

Monitoring Adherence

Monitoring drug regimen adherence is vital for treatment success, preventing disease progression, and curbing drug resistance. SureAdhere provides a dashboard, quick actions and the Adherence screen to monitor and track adherence for patients.

Dashboard Screen - Quick Actions

The SureAdhere Quick Action Model helps you quickly see and improve medication adherence. Your dashboard clearly shows your 7-day average adherence rate, and guides you to important tasks like reviewing patient videos and deactivating patients.

Here's how to use it:

  1. Check Adherence Rate:

    1. See your 7-day average adherence directly on the dashboard. This is calculated by dividing the total adherent doses by the total expected doses for all patients for which you have permission to view.

    2. Adjusting the filter on your dashboard, at the top right of the screen, will adjust the criteria for this metric.

  2. Review New Videos:

    1. Click the "Review new videos" button to go straight to video review without needing to navigate to patient pages. This is the fastest way to get your video review done.

    2. Once you review a video, it's removed from this quick action list.

  3. Manage Alerts for Inactive Patients:

    1. The Alert widget in the top right of your Dashboard shows up once a month letting you know if patients haven't used SureAdhere for 6 months.

    2. Remind Me Later turns off the alert for the rest of the month.

    3. Deactivate All deactivates all patients who haven't used the app in 6 months. This ensures they don't appear in current reports. If needed, you can reactivate these patients from their Patient Profile page by checking the "Account is active" box.

Daily Adherence Workflow

The Adherence page is where providers may watch patient videos, document information about each dose, and view each patient’s adherence status. Providers may fill all, some, or none of the fields depending on how each client chooses to use the platform. Since data entered into this page are used to populate reports, completing more of the fields will provide more informative reports and exportable datasets.

Events

Events are uploaded by patients from the SureAdhere patient facing mobile application. (Except MERM events, see below for more details.)

  • All events are default linked to doses if there is a dose due on the day the event(s) were recorded.

  • To view all doses that are linked to a particular dose, click on the day on the Adherence Calendar, all events linked to the dose will display in the "This Dose" tab under the Events section.

  • To review all the patient's events, click the "All" tab.
