Patient Mobile Application

Before a patient begins using the SureAdhere mobile device application to record themselves taking medication, they should be trained on how to use the app to record themselves. The instructions below are also available as a patient handout for Android and iPhone devices 

To download the SureAdhere Application:

Android: Tap on the Google Play Store icon on the home screen of the Android device. In the Search box at the top of the screen, type in SureAdhere and click on SureAdhere by Dimagi app. Click Install and wait for the app to completely install. The application is free so the patient will not need to input any account credentials or credit card information.

iPhone:  Tap on the App Store icon on the home screen of the iPhone. Select Search in the lower right-hand corner. Type in SureAdhere and click on the SureAdhere by Dimagi app. Click Install and wait for the app to completely install. The application is free so the patient will not need to input any account credentials or credit card information.

Application Set Up

1. Download the SureAdhere by Dimagi app from the iOS app store or Google Play Store.

2. Select the appropriate country.

3. If the patient’s primary language is not English, they can select a different language by clicking on the 3 white dots in the top right corner of the Log In screen.

4. To log in, use the User ID (username) and 4-digit PIN your provider gave you. Note: The User ID field is case sensitive.

5. Before starting a video, you will be prompted to grant the application permission to use the camera and microphone. Click OK.

6. Lastly, the application will ask for permission to use the phones location while you are recording videos. 

7. Note: SureAdhere will only use the analytics and/or location data if a patient is having issues with their app. This data is not used for any other reason.

Example Video Step Protocol 

1.  State your ID number

2.  Hold your first pill in front of the camera and say the name and dosage

3.  Place pill in your mouth, take a sip of water and swallow

4.  Repeat these steps until you have taken all your pills

Record a Video Dose

1. Gather medications, water and cell phone in a well-lit location.

2. Set up phone and open the SureAdhere app.

3. Select or add UserID and enter PIN.

4. To start a video, press "Take Video".

5. Start recording by clicking red circle button.

6. End the recording by pressing the white square button.

7. Video will automatically upload to the SureAdhere secure cloud server.

8. The Submission Status screen will display and all event submissions can be reviewed.

9. Click the back button in the top left of the screen to go back to the Welcome screen.
