The CommCare Roadmap Portal is the central hub for tracking the development and release of generally available features within the CommCare platform. This portal provides visibility into planned, in-progress, and delivered features to help organizations stay informed about the latest improvements and upcoming enhancements.

Generally Available Features

General availability means features that are (or plan to be) fully released, stable, and available for all customers within a specific plan. All customers within the relevant plan will always have access to that feature for as long as it is available.

Users who have their own on-premise instance of CommCare outside of Dimagi’s cloud offering as well as those on a professional services contract may have access to features outside of the generally available offering.

Accessing the Roadmap

The https://feedback.dimagi.com/commcare/view/0?lang=en-US is publicly accessible, allowing users to view feature updates without requiring an account. However, logging in enables additional engagement features such as commenting and voting on feature ideas.

To access the portal:

  1. Navigate to the https://feedback.dimagi.com/commcare/view/0?lang=en-US

  2. Browse the roadmap categorized under different statuses.

  3. Click on a feature card to view more details.

Submitting Ideas for the Roadmap

Users can submit new ideas directly through the portal by clicking the Add a New Idea button. These will be reviewed on a regular basis by our product team. Ideas with high engagement (votes and comments) are reviewed more actively. If an idea is moved to the Added to Roadmap section, it means

it has been approved for future development. Please note that users cannot edit or delete an idea after submission, but they can add comments to clarify or expand on their initial submission.

When submitting an Idea, please remember to:

  1. Provide a clear title for the feature request.

  2. Describe the problem the feature aims to solve.

  3. (optional) Attach any supporting materials like screenshots or images.
