CommCare Integrations

This section provides a high-level overview of how CommCare integrates with other tools and systems.

CommCare Integrations Overview

No matter what your existing data ecosystem looks like, CommCare can fit into your structure thanks to our platform’s flexible integration options. This section provides an overview of all CommCare integration options.

Data Forwarding Integration

OData Feeds

OData (Open Data Protocol) feeds is a standard protocol for consuming data services over the web, allowing for easy integration with a variety of analytics and reporting tools. OData Feeds enable real-time access to data within different systems and applications, facilitating the analysis, sharing, and manipulation of this data across various platforms.

CommCare Data Export Tool (DET)

The CommCare Data Export Tool (DET) is a command-line interpreter tool that you can use to export data from CommCare to a database. DET is an ideal solution for large datasets which can be incrementally refreshed and connected to BI tools like Power BI for visualization needs.

Third-Party Tool Integrations

CommCare supports several pre-existing integrations with different third-party systems, both via the web and Android. You can read more about some of these integrations here.

Android Application Integrations

This page provides high-level guidance for how to integrate your CommCare application with other Android applications.

API Access

CommCare allows programmers to write code that interacts directly with CommCare HQ through APIs and web hooks. Through this, users can flexibly design how to integrate CommCare into your existing ecosystems. Details about individual APIs can be found in the CommCare project technical documentation:
