In building your CommCare forms, you will decide how to nest them within different types of menus. This page describes how you can manage menus in menus and their nested forms in Menu Settings.
Menu Types
Before you build a CommCare form, you will need to decide what kind of menu you want your form to be nested in. Below are some of the options.
Menu Settings
All menu types can be managed in Menu Settings. To find Menu settings, click, the top-level menu item and it will bring you to the settings.
As you can see, menu settings look different depending on the menu item that you have selected
Survey Menu

In the Survey Menu, the only settings that exist are related to Multimedia in CommCare .
Case List Menu

As you can see, the Case List Menu is more complicated than a Survey Menu. In this, we have the following settings
Settings
Menu: This is where you define your case management parameters, including your case type
Multimedia: Like Surveys, this is related to Multimedia in CommCare

Shadow Menu
A shadow menu essentially replicates another menu that you previously identified.
