An inventory is the process of counting the total numbers of units of products at any given time. An inventory report could hold information about all the coartem in a storage facility. It includes:
Total SOH (total quantities of usable stock available. Items that are unusable are not considered part of stock on hand but losses to the system)
- Total AMC (total average of the quantities of product dispensed to users in
the most recent three months, as appropriate) - Remaining MOS : remaining stock measured in months, this gives an assessment of how long the coartem supply in the clinic will last. It is the result of dividing Total SOH by Total AMC)
- Stock Status (the status is decided by two factors: Stock Level settings and the remaining MOS. See documentation on stock level settings)
- If Remaining MOS < Emergency Level/Low Stock level, understock;
- If Remaining MOS > Adequate & Remaining MOS < Overstock level, adequate
- If Remaining MOS > Overstock level, overstock
- Resupply quantity suggested (the quantity is decided by remaining MOS and the monthly consumption rate. See documentation on Consumption Settings)
- with stock status assessed by the two indicators above (Remaining MOS and Stock Status), RQS gives an suggestion of resupply quantity in your next order/distribution. The value is decided by remaining MOS and the monthly consumption rate configured in your project
- Resupply Quantity suggested will not return any real value if the storing facility is over-stocked
