Add a Regimen

The regimen forms the basis of the treatment monitoring system. The regimen details are used to populate the Adherence Calendar with treatment dose details and send dose reminders. A regimen is made up of drug schedules. Multiple drugs may be added to the same drug schedule if they have the same schedule frequency. Drugs that differ in schedule frequency may be added to sub-sequential drug schedules.

Create patient regimen

Start on the Regimen tab in a patient’s account. A message box will ask if you want to start a regimen. Click Continue.

  1. Enter the Regimen Name (this is a free-text box, anything may be entered here).

  2. Choose the patient’s Condition/Disease from the dropdown list.

  3. Choose the appropriate Monitoring Method from the dropdown list.

Create drug schedule

  1. Begin by typing in the Drug Name* box and select a drug from the dropdown list.

  2. Add the drug details, Total mg and No. of Pills.

  3. Repeat steps 1-3 to add all drugs that should be included in the same schedule.

  4. Select a Start Date for the drug schedule.

  5. Enter the No. of Days/Week the patient is expected to take the drug(s).

  6. Look below at the Frequency, select the specific days of the week and time the drugs should be taken.

  7. Next, fill out either No. of Weeks and Additional Days OR the No. of Doses. The other fields will automatically be calculated based on the information that is provided.

  8. If there are more drugs in the patient’s treatment on different schedules, click ADD SCHEDULE and repeat the ‘Drug Schedule’ steps to finish entering the patient’s regimen.

  9. When finished entering the patient’s regimen, click the SAVE button.

Generic Dose - If you do not wish to monitor every drug in the SureAdhere Platform, you may add a Generic Dose to capture high level adherence details. To do this, type in ‘Generic Dose’ into the Drug Name field and zeros to the mg and pill fields. Then continue to fill out the correct treatment schedule and frequency.
