Dimagi CommCare provides a set of shared SMS connections for our projects. You can also set up your own private connections. For each project, you must select a connection that will be used.
A very popular option that works in any location is to set up an Android Gateway using Telerivet and a local SIM and Android device. This is our recommended approach to setting up a gateway for CommCare. More information can be found here: Setup an Android SMS Gateway
