CommCare App Preview

From the form builder on CommCareHQ, you can access the App Application Preview , which emulates how your CommCare application would appear on a typical Android device, by clicking on the far right side panel. Once opened, you can toggle between “phone” and “tablet” displays by clicking the ‘device’ icon located on the bottom right.

...

Click the “refresh” button on the bottom center to ensure that the App Preview reflects all of the changes that have been made to the application in the form builder.

In the App Application Preview, you can “Log In As” use the Login As Feature to login as different mobile users to demonstrate how the form access and user experience might differ depending on which of your users is accessing the app (see Mobile Worker managementWorkers ).

...

In the “Settings” of the App Preview, you can change the application language (if the application has multiple languages) and the format in which the questions are displayed (one question per screen, or the full form per screen).

For CommCareHQ Users with Web Apps enabled (available on Advanced subscriptions), applications can also be demoed and tested there.

Android Screenshare Software

There are some limitations when using the App Preview compared to the CommCare Android app, such as capturing multimedia, so some users may prefer to demo from an Android device. Examples include WonderShare and TenorShare. Please note that these tools may require purchase.
