User Overview

As CommTrack has two components, there are two types of users accordingly: Web Users and Mobile Users.

Web Users (or web supervisors):

have access to CommTrack web where they configure the CommTrack project settings,

have access to all or specific CommTrack web reports depending on their permissions,

Mobile Users:

have access to CommTrack

Web Users (= supervisors): They have access to CommCare Supply web where they can configure the CommCare Supply project settings and CommCare Supply web reports. You could have multiple web users managing mobile agents and viewing data outputs. After adding new web users, you could now set permissions to limit their data access. You could link a web user with a specific program/location, so that this web user can only see reports and data submitted by CommCare Supply mobile users associated with this program/location.

Mobile Users (= mobile workers): have access to CommCare Supply mobile application installed on their phone / tablet only.

 

To add a new person:

 

  1. Follow the set up process for a fieldworker or the set up process for a console user
  2. Assign a handset to a user
  3. Assign a user to a survey

To edit a user's profile, password or permissions:

 

  1. Navigate to the user's profile page
  2. You can now change the permissions assigned to the user and change the languages available to them.
You can communicate with users directly by sending SMSs to specific people. 

How to assign a web user  CommCare Supply mobile users can only be set up by a web user. You can manually create mobile users and associate each of them with specific locations and programs, or use the bulk upload tool to create mobile users and link them to programs/locations all in one go.
