We are updating our Terms

Dear CommCare User,

We’re getting in touch to let you know about a new European data protection law, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR goes into effect May 25, 2018 and significantly enhances the protection of personal data for EU citizens.

We are happy to share that Dimagi will be fully compliant with this new legislation when it goes into effect later this month. We’ll also be applying these high standards of data protection to all CommCare users, regardless of where you live—in the EU or elsewhere.

In accordance with GDPR standards, Dimagi is updating our Privacy Policy and introducing new Terms of Service, Businesses Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy documents (all of which are collectively known as Dimagi's “Terms”). As with GDPR, our new Terms go into effect May 25, 2018.

Does this affect my use of CommCare?

No. Your experience will not change. Starting May 1, 2018 you will see a notification in CommCare HQ asking you to review and agree to our new Terms. Please note, to continue using CommCare HQ after May 25th you will need to agree to our new Terms.

Do the new Terms replace Dimagi’s EULA and PSA?

Yes. All services previously governed by the End User License Agreement (EULA) and Product Subscription Agreement (PSA) will automatically transition to our new Terms. However, the spirit of the EULA and PSA carry over to our new Terms and, as always, you are the owner of your data.

What if I do not agree to the new Terms?

You may choose to stop using our services if you do not agree to the new Terms. Please reach out to privacy@dimagi.com if you have any concerns—we’re here to answer any and all questions.

Thank you for being a part of the CommCare community.
