On August 2nd, Dimagi notified all CommCareHQ users about our new pricing plans for CommCare, CommTrack, and CommConnect. This page is meant to answer some FAQs that you may have about these new plans (which are summarized in Question 1). Note that these plans will not go into effect until January 1, 2014. CommCareHQ will continue to NOT charge for CommCare, CommTrack, and CommConnect software plans through the end of 2013 for existing users.

- An implementation service package (e.g. CommCare PLUS package) gets you direct support from Dimagi staff members. Dimagi staff will help with the development of new application features or custom reports, technical support, application building, project management, training, and implementation support.
- A software plan (e.g. Pro software plan) is paying a subscription to use CommCare on Dimagi's cloud serverservers. This includes cloud server support, access to advanced features and SMS capabilities, automated software updates, bug fixes and maintenance support, security updates, HIPAA compliance.

14. How are payments made?
By January 1st, 2014, organizations will be able to pay via credit card on CommCareHQ. If an organizations also purchases services package, Dimagi will includes the software plan for 12 months. This will also be visible in HQ billing.
15. Where does CommConnect fit into the CommCare software plans?

CommTrack will be based on the same software plans but will be publically available on its own website (www.commtrack.org) and customized to only include the relevant content.
17. Is the commcare-export tool is considered use of API Access for the purposes of software plan/billing?
Yes, the commcare-export tool accesses all records via the API which is unavailable in the free plan. We hope to allow for some commcare-export use under the community edition with limited API access or number of calls, but exact timelines for this feature have not yet been determined.
